On Wednesday, members of parliament from Oppland were given more detailed information about the unique and internationally important cultural heritage sites that the county has to offer. Harald Jacobsen and Egil Mikkelsen participated from the board, together with Per Dag Hole and project manager John Olsen. The project emphasised the importance of the hunting and trapping culture as a cultural tradition which is not well enough known internationally and as a field which is currently underrepresented on the World Heritage List. Norway therefore has a unique opportunity to help make the list more balanced.
Politicians from Oppland showed great interest in the project and expressed their hope that the project will succeed and the initiative continue. |
