”During the last two to three years, Wild Reindeer Hunting as World Heritage has carried out a great deal of research. We wished to present the results of this work to the Minister,” says chair of the board Børge Brende. He expressed his appreciation that the Minister agreed to meet the board of the project and chose to spend time getting to know more about the project.
Ms Bjornøy replied by saying that the project sounds both interesting and academically well-grounded. More work should be done in this field, irrespective of whether the project is nominated. Mr Brende concluded the meeting by opening for further dialogue with the Ministry as well as the two Directorates; the Directorate for Cultural Heritage and the Directorate for Nature Management. “If there any questions or queries relating to the project, we will be happy to answer them,” said Mr Brende in conclusion. |
