During this time, the expert team, comprising Reidar Andersen, Anitra Fossum, Jostein Bergstøl and Per Jordhøy, together with project manager John Olsen, visited several of the central areas and sites. In the course of the three days, they were able to inspect parts of all three areas: Snøhetta, Rondane and Reinheimen. The expert team visited some of the large fish-trapping sites, and, some of the smaller pit and hide sites. The expert team made it a priority to see some of the well-known sites, as familiar to the professionals as to the locals, and which therefore form the basis for many a discussion relating to the delimitation of the world heritage area.
The expert group submitted a provisional draft report in March this year. This work will be presented at the upcoming contact forum meeting in August, input from which will be included in the further work on the expert report. The final report will be submitted to the board in September this year. |
