News Interest in wild reindeer hunting in Opp Wild Reindeer Hunting as World Heritage had its own stand at this year’s Kulturkraft in Oppdal (cultural heritage festival). The stand was well-visited by young and old alike, and the chance to try hunting with a bow and arrow was a particularly popular attraction. At the Wild Reindeer Hunting as World Heritage stand, visitors could try their hand at hunting with a bow and arrow, try to make a fire using a bow drill and flint, and chop wood with the Stone Age equivalent of a state-of-the-art axe. The project’s own mobile exhibition was also on show, presenting the development of Wild Reindeer Hunting during the last 40,000 years.
